Teen Titans 9

Last issue we get the information that some Dayton board members where being murdered. This issue starts with yet another Dayton board member meeting that sad fate.

Death by toys apparently.
Gar gets back to his palace and gets attacked by a toy himself which he handles in his gorilla form.

After this incident Gar assures his father's administrative assistant the he will get help concerning the murders. And that help is Robin who still uses his Toys-R-Us bike.

Here's the suspect.

Robin and Changeling go to investigate and get a hostile reception.

Hostile and weird. The "person" above is really a puppet; and the puppet explodes, nearly taking Gar and Dick with him. The real Puppeteer is observing from somewhere else

The Puppeteer is apparently under the employ of H.I.V.E.
While wallking in the park Cyborg is attacked by a Batman puppet.

The damage looks alarmingly serious. The ultimate result is unexpected.

Cyborg somehow falls under the control of the Puppeteer. He attacks Raven who teleports to saftey. The panel showing that is very beautiful.

Raven goes to Wally for help. Looks like Wally wasn't enjoying his sabbatical because it took very little to convince him.

Raven also summons Donna and Kory. I'm getting flashbacks to the start of the series when Raven was doing the same thing, getting everybody together.
When Kid Flash gets to the park he also become possessed.

And then Wonder Girl gets possessed and goes after Starfire.

With Starfires possession, the Puppeteer is feeling cocky.

Raven runs to Robin and Changeling and the trio immediately come under attack by their possesed friends. Here's Robin struggling against Vic.

Robin is finally forced to kick Vic in the nuts.

It is Kid Flash who is able to use his speed powers to break the possession. Here he is freeing Starfire.

Raven is also able to free Donna with her powers.

The Titans confront the Puppeteer in his lair.

And boom! All the toys attack and George Perez gives us an awesome panel.

The Titans manage to defeat the toys and the Puppeteer escapes but H.I.V.E has not tolerance for failure.

All this murders and possession and chaos was to get plans for a weapon supposedly deadlier than an A-bomb. Guess who gets the plans.
